About Me

My name is Ruthena Dorsey. Families often refer to me as Miss. Ruthena. I love working with children and pour my heart and soul into ISH Learning Daycare. I’m a Maryland registered family child care provider. That means that I’ve been licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education to provide care for little ones in my home.


Here are a few of the qualifications that allow me to provide an excellent level of care for your little ones:

  • Maryland State Child Development Credential – Admin Level 1
  • Maryland State Department of Education EXCELS – Quality Rating Level 4
  • America Red Cross Certificate in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED
  • State approved training in the following subject matters (Emergency and Disaster Planning, Medication Administration, Americans with Disabilities Act, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, Supporting Breastfeeding Practices, Curriculum, Community, Child Development, Professionalism, Special Needs, Health, Safety and Nutrition)
